Today is the day... I finally got my Les Paul. She's a beauty, and with a '57 in the neck and '57 + in the bridge, she don't sound too bad either.

On an unrelated note... I turned 16 today, and got my driver's license. Had I not had my parents and my girlfriend help I wouldn't have gotten it today, more like a couple of months down the line. Oh, and my girlfriend also got me a Violin bow so I can play Kashmir correctly :D

I got it for a steal of a price NOS at $1,379. I can sell it used and make a profit

It's less than I paid for both of my SGs, which doesn't usually happen. The top is very active, and dances in the light, which is always a plus. Quite a stunning Les Paul :D

Dude, you need a Danelectro to play Kashmir correctly, Just saying'.:D

Congrats on your 16th birthday! That's a great guitar. :dude:

You are a lucky guy with your life ahead of you and the world at your feet. When I turned 16 I got a book on electric guitars by Tony Bacon. At least it had pictures of Les Pauls in it.

Nice looking LP and Happy Birthday, too. Congrats on both... :yesway:.

Now, put down the bow... and master this technique:

    congratulations... that's a lovely instrument.
Being who I am, I'd call it the guitar of a lifetime.
Except that you have a pair of SGs, which fill that
    role.

So you should just ship it to me for review and testing.
I'll try not to be too harsh and snarky.

Update/Necropost: Girl is out of my life. Has been for 9 months now. Long story short, I still have the guitar
