By the looks of that control cavity, perhaps a Junior?
It looks like a Les Paul!n!
Yep. I have a friend picking it up for me since it's 3500km away. Nice friend. Now I have to convince him to pack it properly and ship it to me. How do I do that ?
His parents live close by and are going to visit him for the holidays. Maybe I can trade picking them up at the airport, for them bringing it back on the plane ?
Better pics when ... I eventually get it.
First beauty pic. Just back from luthier in regard of 2 high frets. Plays good now.
Havent worked on intonation yet, but the P100 will have to go.
Looks awesome in sunburst. Any recommendations on a replacement pickup for this model? I have a mid 90s MIK Junior I found on Craigslist a few years back that is fun to play but I think has the potential to sound much better. I haven't really looked into a replacement pickup yet.
I ordered a cheapo Chinese. I'll let you know how it sounds when I put it in.
It should sound good, a bad P90 doesn' t exist.
My Epiclone Casino sound good and my Gibson Les Paul Jr sound better
OK now ...
I know about the honeymoon thing with a new guitar, and all. But this thing is ... a monster or a mistress, depending.
Gnarly, sustain 'till tomorrow, fat full hand grab neck, incredible tuning stability, spot on intonation with minimalist wraparound, etc, etc. And I can't believe how that $21.99 Chinese Dog Ear sounds.
I keep shifting to my other guitars that sound great, but this one ...
Ah ! Found locally a Lollar for $15 more than what the Chinese P90 cost. It'll be interesting to compare.
I like it.
The Lollar has a little more definition than the Chinese Dog Ear. More roundness too, that brings out its midrange and deeper growl. Note that the Lollar reads 9.1K as the Chinese is 7.8K
