Well I was up early this morning to drop my girlfriend to her friends house. When I got home I jumped on the net a thought i'd see what was new on ebay.

At 6:30 am someone posted three guitars, a Japanese gibson LP copy, a Japanese SG copy and an aria strat. When I saw the SG it took my breath away. I'd never seen anything like it. It's a early-70's guitar...'72 I think and just plays great. I used th Buy it NOW! and actually had the guitar in my hands by midday...can you believe that! 5 hours from listing to being played by the winning bidder!

Anyway, here it is. It was $595 AUD = $400US? The price I thought was great. The LP that got listed was Maple necked with the same inlays and body carvings. I had a look at it while I was there...mini HB's, great guitar. Anyway, it seems that these Kasuga copies are pretty well respected. Anyway, just set it up, new bridge, strings etc....the nech needed no adjustment. Pickups are great.

How does it compare to a Gibson SG std? Well I sold my gibson SG 6 months ago and wanted a low cost alternative because I couldn't justify it.
Well It has a slimmer neck, better balance and i like the pickups better than the 490/498's. Action is better than the gibson every was...but it doesn;t quite have the same sustain. Thanks for reading!

    Welcome to ETSG, SDB.

I agree with the beautiful, but being a hardcore SG fan there is beauty to the eye and beauty to the ear. The important thing is how you feel about it. (I love the sculpture in the body) Very pleasing to the eye.

To bad you had to get rid of your SG tho

Most men will wade in a murky river, but few will drink from even a clean one, if they know the cattle been upstream.

Really weird feeling of deja vu! I think I paid £45 for it but I only had it a week or two - can't remember why I sold it.. probably for another guitar or an ounce of Red Leb....
