Hi- Do any Greco Super Real owners know if anyone makes a pick guard to fit a 1981 ss-700? It has a home made one at the moment, but I'd like to spruce it up. Thanks for any advice.

Not sure about one off the shelf, however I believe Greco was sued at some point for basically making the SG to spec, so possibly? Someone here may be able to chime in on that note.

Anothe rootion would be having a fellow Greco owner trace theirs out and mail it to you. There are no option of great suppliers that will make one to whatever specifications (trace) you send them.

Also, you could order a standard pick guard with no holes and give it a go. Worst case scenario send it back. Creamtone makes nice guards, as do many other companies.

Hey, I've got a ss-700 too, a 1980. The Creamtone one (as far as I know, they only have one for the small SG type) fits great.

Let's see some pictures of that Greco of yours! Here's mine with the new guard:

Here you go. The guitar looks a little browner in person- very similar to the VOS finish Gibson sometimes uses. I had a look on the creamtone site and they do 3 small pick guards. Two for Gibson USA and one for the Custom Shop. Do you remember which you bought? Thanks Chris

I think it would be the Custom Shop one, seeing as it's a wide bevel.
