Great, thats a fair deal I think. I'm sure you'll be happy with it, nothing like a brand new SG Standard!
Let us know how it is, and also, we like photos!

thanks, only thing is I might have to wait a few days to collect it as I can't get to the store today.
But yes I'm chuffed with it and with the hard case it made a good deal.
I could of waited for a used one to come up but id only be saving a few £100 if anything

I see that Guitar-Guitar website has 2018 SG HP's for £1099 with case.
    That is a STEAL !
2018 is the only year they were made like that, ring-less rear mount pickups.
    You should get both !

The ones they have are actually HP II, not the original HP. The former come with richlite fretboards.

I picked up my SG and I'am very pleased with the guitar, how it sounds, how it feels and how it looks. I'll give it a proper play later on tonight but yes she is an absolute beauty.

Thanks man, I played the SG for the first time last night and it has exceeded my expectations. A joy to play and I'am really happy with it.

Nice pics of the family!

What year is the '60s Classic Player? Those are excellent Strats! Sweet pups and a 12" radius makes it feel right at home.

I'am not sure what year it is but I bought it last year in 2018. It was £650 used and you are right they are excellent Stratocasters, all the classic series/players are great.

Was just curious. I noticed it has the rosewood board which is awesome. The newer ones use Pau Ferro , from 2017 on I believe.

I do like mine as well.

Glad you are enjoying your too. I think Gibson have nailed it this year. As well as first hand experience of the guitar, most of the reviews are good for it too, like in Total Guitar magazine.
    Its my favourite now too.
