Love that headstock! ...in fact, love the whole thing. :) Very cool.

All I need to do the same is a kit, workshop, tools and some skill & talent... So no chance. :(

    Don't put yourself down man.
Small projects first, and build confidence from the small successes.

    Time for another update ...
Got some colour onto the back and sides. Still have to clean up the binding :-(
Front still looks the same as post #20, hopefully I'll get some poly onto the natural front this week.

    Update ...
Two more days of poly, two weeks to cure then a day of sanding progressively finer and finer into polish, then time to put the missing bits on.

While curing I'll start in the 12 string Tele :-)

Looks great, I really like the natural wood finish.

I already know I don't have the skill to finish a guitar body, but I'm now also pretty sure I lack the patience as well.

    Mate, skill isn't required.
It's a process and if followed step by step any dullard can get a good result.
Take shortcuts and the wheels fall off.

When mucking about with guitars can you really say this one is finished? For now I'm saying the resonator kit-build is done. It's been a challenge here and there, things I didn't post about have slowed me down, I held back on talking too much about them as only a couple appear to be following the process BUT today I'm a happy camper.
A few photos of finished product ... Oh and BTW, it's been test played by 3 accomplished musicians, they and I are VERY impressed with the tone and range of music styles that can be dialed in. :-)

Well done, that's a beauty. I really like the way you finished off the headstock - for a moment I thought you'd changed your mind & finished it in light blue - then I realised it's the sky...

Glad to hear the tone & playability match the looks. :)
