any one have any experience?
If Gibson was stronger, I'd say they'd sue the pants off them.
Yeah, there may be some copy right issues. Not 100% sure what’s patented and trade marked to be honest. Looks like a solid build. Solo Dalls is of course one of the biggest names in ACDC research, specifically Angus’ guitar history, evolvement and sound. So if he is impressed, I am sure they must be nice axes.
Name brands can be a funny thing. This guitar would have to be exceptional for me to consider it over spending my money on a gibson. Jaydee guitar is another example of this for me. Angus’ himself owns one, and John has an exceptional track record. But when it came time to spend $4,000 on an SG, it’s not what I chose
I have been eyeballin them for some time just because of the Johhny Thunders model.
I'd never spend that kind of cash on one, or on any relic model.
I can beat the crap out a a DC jr on my own for cheaper.
I got to play Thunders armstong guitar, so I'm happy.
I don't know... Nash Guitars is still going strong, and to be frank I kind of love the relicing the way Nash does it, and Rock N Roll Relics seems to pull off their relicing just as well! I would imagine that Nash would have been sued by Fender long ago if it were an option. The way Fender has fought Nash has been by giving ultimatums to the hardware manufacturers with a "them or us". For awhile there Fender and Nash both were getting their stuff from the same supplier.
Angus has one, but I've not seen any clips yet of him playing it (I want clips damn it!) At last count Tony Iommi was touring with at least five Jaydee's other than Old Boy No. 1... This may be a Captain Obvious moment, but I'd guess that Iommi greatly prefers Jaydee over Gibson.
I distantly know Billy via the band he plays in with a friend of mine. He's been very cool in answering an abundance of questions I have peppered him with & his builds are top notch. If you're curious I say give him a ring & talk to him. I'd own one in a hot second honestly.
As I remember his SGjrs were PGK's until they changed the shape. Not sure if he's continuing on with another brand.
Hanks lynurd. Quick question, PGK?
Precision Guitar Kit.

I can't conceive of the attraction of a faked play-worn instrument. I find these kinds of guitars to be somewhat ludicrous poser-props. "Yeah, man, life on the road was really wild and rough... just look at what it did to this guitar I bought yesterday." These are wannabe's delights.
Totally see where your coming from. This company does make new condition ones. I am more curious on quality and craftsmanship opinions than perhaps the ages finish
It's not really even about the appearance of being worn. It's more about what they FEEL like... Glenn Hughes for example, he stopped touring with his vintage Fender basses and doesn't miss them because his Nash's feel like you're playing an honest to god vintage workhorse instrument.
I agree. Every scratch, every ding, should have a story attached to it even if it's a mundane home use axe. The reliced ones are like Justin Bieber singing "Turn the Page".
Lol, well said
Haha, in one paragraph, you made me cower in shame over my Gilmour relic. Sure sign of a good writer. All good points! I’m planning on “self-relic-ing” my new SG build.
What a surreal consumer dystopia we live in. Thanks for the Matrix style awakening haha.
