Check this out. Über cool IMHO.
While attending a neighborhood bonfire [ unusually cool night for August ], a neighbor suggested I look up a video by a new band called Greta Van Fleet. I'm impressed. Rock is not dead!
Thanks for posting the video to get me interested.
Here's a great thread deticated to that band. I bought the whole Black Smoke Rising EP, and it really kicks major ass. Some of the best new music being made IMO.
Makes me think of led zep, which is very cool for such a young band.
Good stuff, loved it. Lots of newer bands out these days carrying on the traditions.
I really like these guys. The similarities to early Zep is cool, but Greta Van Fleet also has their own thing going for their sound. It almost looks unnatural how the lead singer is calmly hitting that upper range of voice. I love the guitarist sound... it's so full and natural... cranked, without a sh!tload of gain...
Message to self: Need to research the names of the individual band members...
As a former hard rock lead vox, who covered some Zep in my day. That kid singing blows me away.
And what can be said about that guitarist? His chops say it all.
Wow..nice stuff....someone mentioned Zep, funny cause I was thinkin the singer has a bit of a Roger Daltry vibe
I'm hearing shades of Brian Connelly in his voice at times, too. Hope his voice makes it through puberty intact, though. The band can go places
I think it did make it through puberty in tact, he's 21
Yes indeed. I was kidding :)
Separate names with a comma.
