I would assume there must be a crack in the neck, bad fretwork, lots of scratches, dented frets or something. 75 is too good to be true. Epis are more than starters...
From the seller: "...It is in shockingly good condition considering it's age; only some minor cosmetic damage. It is missing a string at the moment*, but it does come with a nice soft case. If you are interested, please message for details." ttwcg-6615223304@sale.craigslist.org
No it's not. This is the kind of deal everybody complain they never get. When one comes along, you don't look for bugs or a conspiracy, you don't think, you just jump on it. Then you don't complain, you brag. That's how I got my Vintage G400 for $100, and my 60's Tribute Plus LP for $200, and my '61 RI Epi SG with P90 for $170, etc. All this in Canuck Pesos, that's like $350 USD for those 3 guitars.
Ive just never come across an SG so darn cheap is all. You guys would know more than I, ive only bought two guitars and shops in Nashville overcharge for a lot of things. Even on craigslist I've never seen an SG cheaper than 100. I would jump on a deal like that just as much as you would, but i would be wary as to why its so cheap. Ive seen hundreds of strat copies under 80 but never an SG. The cheapest SG I ever found I bought. Its my Epi G400.
2014 Les Paul Melody Maker. Special factory polish job and pickguard for the Miranda Lambert "PLATINUM"tour. I bought her from a Nashville pawn shop a couple of days after the tour ended. $425 usd.
There are definitely deals to be found but a lot of them are vety overpriced in my opinion. The standard for a high quality guitar is overpriced IMO. Got this at a Nashville pawnshop for $40 was 60 but talked him down. Swappef the dials with Epi bass ones and the hbucker with a p94.
