Hey, I have seen a 68 junior that is slightly smaller body than standard from same period, how is it possible? Were differences in size of bodies between standard and junior?

If you've seen it, it must be possible. If not possible, you probably didn't see it.

In the past I had the following:

    1969 SG Special
    1970 SG Junior
    1970 SG Standard

I did not notice any difference in size of the bodies of the guitars.

A "Junior" does not mean that it is 3/4 the size of a "Standard".

Yeah, here is difference around half inch in some parts of body, maybe it was just because of sanding before changing lacker or maybe it was just case of different body profiling that developed throug the end of sixties. Interesting is that the special was significantly ligher, 6.3lb, and standard was 7.9lb.

With a Standard, there is the extra weight of a second pickup, long Maestro Vibrola, two extra pots, selector switch. With a Junior, there is only one pickup, two pots, no switch, short Vibrola, and less weight if said Vibrola is removed and guitar is strung with Wraparound bridge only.

There were some SG where the waist size was slightly smaller than others, but I think that was '62 if not mistaken.
