some are completly flat others have a sort of string angle bevel to them AND still have a flat bottom,AVOID pickup rings for a Les Paul cause they are for a arch top

Those ARE the ones you'd want for an SG.
Unlike a batwing, they'll angle your pups slightly to be aligned under the strings.

Yup. Get the thick one for the bridge and the thin one for the neck.

Seeing these Pup rings,,,,,,, made me think about my Faded Walnut SG.

It has no Pickup rings and full batwing. That tilting pickup thing is a little annoying to me, but I know the typical improvisational tweaks to straighten them up. I have considered adding rings myself. The other issue and why I am writing this post is that my current pickup mounting screws that have those little springs, have slotted screw heads. Has anyone ever had slotted screws for the Pups?

Not sure...that photo is from Gibson's website. It's the Angus Young SG, built from his original...

Gonna get this guitar perfect real soon. Figure on getting trim rings, 4 adjustment screws, and a few other parts at the Guitar store.

Got my Witch Hats, a 3 ply truss rod cover to match the 3 ply pickguard (my SG came with a no-ply truss rod cover) and a new string height ruler/tool....

Thick trim ring on it's way from Stewie-Mac...

Question - what is the correct size/ length for the "thick" Gibson humbucker trim ring screws????
