Pick guard kills it for me.

A real beauty for sure. But that is $1750.00 Canadian and I paid $1300.00 for the 2000 Gibson SG Standard Cherry and with the same case. And even that was a lot of money. I don't know what regular 2000 Gibson SG Standards are going for in Paris though. You can factor another amount of money because it is a limited edition, gold plated, and fancy pick guard. It also depends on how much that guitar sounds, plays, and feels to you.

Well, the SG is in very good condition, frets are fine and electronics work perfectly. Neck profil is slim taper, the bridge is stock Gibson ABR-1.
The only bad think I notice is a normal buckle mark on the back of the body.

I lke the case a lot. Gold hardware and MOTS pickguard don't work for me. Does it feel right? Neck, resonance, weight, sound?

Wondering what makes it a Limited Edition? The guard and gold hardware? Other than that it's just a garden variety SG Standard. It doesn't even appear to have an ebony board.

The finish and the 2000 production year make it Limited Edition.

This SG is a very good one, it' s very resonant and I like the slim taper neck. I offer 1000 €uros to the guy, now I' m waiting for his answer.

Gibson made a 2000 Limited Edition SG Special too

Knowing that guitar prices in EU are quite a bit higher, I think 1000 € is reasonable for a guitar you can try in person ahead of purchase. I too am not a fan of pearloid (too accordion for my taste), but pick guards are a super easy swap on an SG.

If I were to chose a pickguard for that SG, I would save up a bit if necessary and order one from Asher, from the same tort as the one below. I think it would be a klller look with gold hardware.

I order a 5 ply wide bevel black pickguard, the stock vintage perloid one will stay in the case.

Well done for securing the guitar!

Is that a Creamtone pickguard you're ordering? I got one for my 2016 Standard T:

    2019 11 30 Creamtone.jpg

Clearly, the wide bevel replacement pickguard is never going to solve problems of balance/neck dive nor increase sustain/improve tone/output or in anyway make us sound any better! Nevertheless, I find these most aesthetically pleasing..... I'm considering buying a Standard '61 and if I do I'll get a wide bevel pickguard for that too.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing your new guitar with it's new pickguard fitted.

    Yes I order at Creamtone.
The SG is perfectly balanced and it sounds incredible (490R - 498T)
