Uhm......hitting the big one HURTS !!!

Good to hear you are not growing tired of my requests ......I mean --no joke-- I ask clients, gas station attendants Radio Shack employees that make the mistake of asking "anything else today ?" :) YES please a LARGE sac of money ---or A check for 1 million dollars........someday mark my words I will "stumble" across some guy who just won the lottery last week and says "SURE--here ya go!!!!!" And all ya'll will have missed out 'cause you simply didn't ask. :)

Oh sorry I meant to post up here is a cheap "tube" amp similar to a slightly more expensive tube amp I have owned....My Bugera was nice.....but had a vibration issue that drove me nuts.....i couldn't tolerate, but others may have luck. It is dang cheap entry level tube-ville.

    As a user of 15", 12", 10", 8" and 6" speakers,

    NOOOO!

I have a 10" vintage JBL that would please anyone! Other speakers can work well in particular situations.

The Ampeg SVT was one of the great bass amps - it used 10" speakers.

Ha....I knew I'd get this one going. :)

I just threw that in for grins in one of my rare silly moods. I feel like if it sounds good use it. I've had 6, 8, 10 and 12's. They each had their uses. Never tried a 15 though. The 10 was actually pretty good.

Same here, the Celestion G10 I have puts most 12's I have used to shame. Not all, but most. I am a big fan of 10's for the punchy low end and quick response.

I have two WEM Dominators: one a MkII with a Goodmans 12", the other a MkI Bass with a 15" Celestion. Electronically it's the same as the MkIII Dom, the only difference being the speaker (the guitar version had a Celestion G12M). Having played through both (of course), I can say that although there may be a bit of top missing on the Dom Bass it is hardly noticeable, partly (but not entirely) due to the treble boost switch on the bright channel. Do not dismiss the 15" for guitar use. Look at some of the classic Fender and Gibson amps from the 1950s-'60s and see how many used them. :)

if i was playing in front of 3,473,835.86 people i might agree with this (i recommend 83.4" speakers for that) but everything has a sound/deal & i've used (a few times) $35 plastic transistor amps (3.5"-?) for excellent lo-fi tracking, 8's & 10's etc...i'd never confuse a full marshal stack (own several) with a pizza pie... just finished minutes ago engineering/tracking a metal session & i have to admit gtr was through 4X12" 100 watt (scooped) celestions... did a blues session with a low watt 15" last week... generic statements are------generic... if it sounds good it is-j meek, whatever gets you through the night is alright-j lennon... i see everything as a tool & different, you have 10" bass speakers & 15" guitar.

Just bought a kustom defender 5 watt amp head recently. This thing is loud. It has decent gain for some dirty sound but I have to turn it up till I am satisfied and then it's too loud. I'm happy with the amp but I am thinking about trying twangs master volume control and tone mod so I can add some gain at a lower bedroom/living room level. And maybe the standby switch While I'm into it.
