    Hi,
What Gibson SG models incorporate the soloist neck?

I've done some research and discovered that they may be available in different profiles slim taper, rounded and maybe more?
The HP models have a 1.745" but width. The 2015s were 1.795"". Traditional 1.695".

    Thanks for any feedback.

HP models have the wider "soloist" nut width. 2015s were 1.795", current HP models are 1.745" as opposed to 1.695" on a traditional. The neck profiles vary, though slim taper is the current trend. String spacing is the same on both standard and HP models. Like Col. Mustard says,"Play before you buy!" I don't own one, but I liked the 2015 LPDC I played with the wider neck.

    Many thanks for the feedback.
I like the neck on the 2016 HP P90. I prefer it to my 2018 SG Standard. I was hoping the soloist neck was more common.

For shredders the extra wide margins of the soloist neck is a real bonus. All the early negative hype came from people who never played one. If I buy another Gibson SG, it will likely be a Special HP.

I find the HP fretboard feels more spacious. Looking at the numbers the difference doesn't seem a lot but the feel for me is much improved.

Am I right in thinking that any Gibson HP will employ the soloist wide neck?
