So I need a decent reverb pedal and went to the local Guitar Center to see what they had.
Well I've been checking out the LP Jrs the past few months, made a couple of offers on used ones but haven't been able to get together on a price we both are happy with.
So I managed to slip in without out being spotted and eased over to the used section to see what they had this week.
And I hear... hey, that guitar you were looking at is on sale …

As I turn around a salesman (a manager) comes trotting up with a Jr held up in the air for me to check out...
I looked at the price tag and said, that's a good price but it's $25 more than what I turned down last time.
And so I moved over to the pedal display case and checked out the reverbs.
    Nothing for me.
So I made the rounds seeing what was new, not much.
Started out the door and thought, I guess it couldn't hurt to play the Jr for a minute.
As I was playing the salesman comes up waving a piece of paper in my face saying, This is what I can get it down to for.
I looked at it and said good price, let me think about it.
I went so far as to leave, get in my truck and start it.

It was the 45 day return policy that tipped the balance.
I still had to play the game a bit, got them to throw in 3, 6" patch cords and a strap.
A gigbag came with the guitar.

    So there it is...
Still have to remove the plastic from the pickguard.
Brand new, Made in the USA guitar w/ gigbag, 3 pack of patch cords and a strap out the door for under.... $475

I could not resist the temptation

I have to ask because it so reminds me of SPINAL TAP and the Stonehenge model they had made for their live gig. They drew it up mistakenly using inches instead of feet and got this:

Now did you really mean the store threw in three 6' patch chords, or did they throw in (as you wrote above) three 6" patch cords (which means you will be going deaf because every time you play your new guitar you have to play six inches in front of your amp).

Or is it really 6" patch cords that I assume would only be used for connecting pedals.

Whatever it is, I hope you didn't make the above Spinal Tap mistake.

Congrats! Sounds like a good deal.

Yea. I have links on my phone for used pedals in my area, all used fuzz pedals, and anything else I'm looking for. That way, i dont walk around GC, I stay focused, and buy what I need. It's too tempting to look. Lol

6 inch patch cords for my pedalboard.
And while I've had my share of Spinal Tap moments, this wasn't one of them.

I'm happy with it, so good deal.:dude:
I usually have better self control, this is the first guitar I've bought from them. It was a really good deal …..

Thanks, I agree :) I'm not sure what could beat it, but when I find it my wallet is probably going to be in trouble.:D

That's the difference. I have no self control: "Kid in the candy store".

Nice score. I paid full boat for mine (I got the blue stain) but I am not complaining a bit. Mine is from the initial run with the jack on the PG. Congratulations!

After playing it for a couple weeks I would have been happy at full price, I guess I'm just a little happier than I would've been.
I like the blue as well but they were down to one LPJDC left... the one I got, but as said, I'm happy.

P.S. I'm having a hard time seeing your pics of your new guitar...……………………

Nice pick up! That's a great price too. How do you like the single P90?

LOVE this thing. I realize it's not traditional, but just such a joy to hold!
