Where can I buy a 4-ply Standard batwing Pickguard? And will it break my budget for the month?
What colors are you considering for the pickguard?
It's for a black one...so, black or tortoise.
WD Music doesn't stock them, and it would cost me an arm and some other body part to have them make me one. Same with Pickguardian--too darn expensive.
I put this one on a 2004 Special and it is actually very nice. Be aware that there seems to be a distance difference on some years between the neck pickup and the edge of the fretboard. It's 4 ply and only 14 bux shipped.
Chandler's Pickguard Heaven did my Samick's Batwing in 5-ply Black/Creme with a wide bevel for $35. But that was from a real 1968 template, they list the modern SG Standard as $28 for a 5-ply.
That samick blows me away every time
Thank you guys! I really appreciate all your help. And the Special and that Samick are AWESOME!
Hi guys! Not exactly what you are looking for but I had to mention this seller who does some cool custom pickguards at an afordable price, I myself have a brown leather and paisley pickguard.
