This Norlin Gibson SG made in 1981 has a nice aged Gold finish, do you think this is a Gibson finish ?
I don' t have more pictures for instance,

Just guessing, but yes, it looks like Bullion gold.

That's a great colour for an SG. Looks like one of the finishes available on the Epi 1961 G400 Pro, although I've never seen this model for sale anywhere. Too bad as it would go well with my TV Silver G400 Pro!

many times you can tell if the gold is the stock finish by removing one or both of the pickups... look at the cavity
and you can see where the paint was applied, or not.
    >Possibly removing just the pick guard would give you enough of a clue,
looking at the fade pattern, or removing the Truss Rod Cover.
Look at the edges and you ought to be able to tell.

The Col. is right, but "THAT IS AN ALMOST 40 YEAR OLD NITRO FINISH." Removing screws (or anything else) can cause cracking very easily.

Gibson made a Gold SG in 2011, nothing about a 1981 model

The SG that I used in my avatar (also in my media album) is a gold SG Futura made in 2014.

Gold SG's are out there, just not real common.

That's a different guitar than the title post and Norlin Standards have block inlays, not trapezoids. You're trolling us, right?

I have no idea what you're talking about. If you want to have a proper discussion try to communicate more clearly.

That is NOT a 1981 model because it has trapezoid inlays. An early 1980's model has small block inlays. A late 1980's model has trapezoid inlays. The control layout and side output jack location are the same for both early and late 1980's models.

That is a 2011 model according to the link below. Note the difference in the control layout and the output jack is NOT on the side.
