It won't be open to all sadly - but a few good buddies to start with :D and we'll see how it goes...

(and don't forget, I ran my own Website company for 15 years, I still have a few good contacts :naughty:)

I didn't mean to presume, but I'd offer the same advice to anyone.

I look forward to your blog.

No problem, I could have been a noob with a hosting account! (No offence to noobs with a hosting account) :D

We'll discuss images off forum

And don't look forward to it too much! - it'll probably just be a stream of guitar geekery and nerdy music tech drivel...

The Ad Free subscription is $2.50 a month.
The $400 sh!t is the Plus 500 plan that offers 500GB of Storage (instead of 2GB), Unlimited Linking, Unlimited Bandwidth, and 3rd Party Hosting (instead of No 3rd Party Hosting.

Here is a quick pick of mine with my Les Paul Traditional. I went for the 100 watt head and run it through a 4x12 cab when not using the internal speaker for practice...

I have yet to do much with the BOSS yet. I'm still trying to dial in my Kemper.

Anyone have any good links for patches? I hope there are some out there. That's one thing I liked
about my Line 6 Spider, patches named for the song tone you were after.

$2.50 / month is a lot better. I don't have enough on PB to make it worthwhile in my case so.....

Yeah, same here. But I can see how those ads on Photobucket will drive some people crazy. Present company, included.

    Photobucket sucks...

Anyone have any tweaks for the Katana? Or am I in the wrong thread...

Yea, I played around with some of it. I found a few things I liked. There was just a massive amount of patches for the Spider and I had 100's of good tones to choose from. I'm guessing it's a little early on in the life of the Katana for that much to be out there...

What's the scoop on the "Sneaky Amps"? Do I need the foot pedal for that?

Nope, just the file(s) and a way of getting them on to the amp - think there's a program called fxfloorboard? Must get around to trying it out....

Anything that writes sysex files should work though...

    And a usb cable

The "sneaky amps" can be imported into Tone Studio without third party software as they're .tsl files. They're not adjustable however; any knob twiddling other than volume will throw them out and you'll have to reset through the Tone Studio. These are user created patches, no guarantees.

    Cool! Even better

Are they similar to / based on the GT-1 patches?

From what I can tell, yes.

Again, "user created", doesn't mean 100% stable or supported.
Just being honest here. I've played with a number of them and other than the no knob twiddling thing all but a couple seemed OK (don't ask I don't remember @ 5AM). The couple that didn't work simply wouldn't import to Tone Studio.

That said, no guarantees, I can't stress that enough. Also, have good Antivirus & Anti-malware software and be smart about what you click.

I'm not advocating the third-party software out of an abundance of caution and not wanting to be "the expert" fielding questions. Tone Studio is at least Boss supported.

The folks on vguitar seem to know what they're up to, and they have at least one Boss employee answering questions, quite a prominent one by all accounts :thumb:

Got out of the club for a few minutes when I returned my Katana 50 and joined back again with Katana 100 1X12 with effect loop. Yes! Looper friendly.

    Goodbye....! :(

....and welcome back! :D When you mentioned an effects loop, I thought one of the 100w ones would suit you better - how are you finding it?

I can definitely recommend the footswich - can turn effect loop on and off as well as switch patches in the amp, and control individual effects within each of the patches too!

Sorry, am I gushing again?
