The sun was shining through the window when I had the translucent ebony Sg out. It sure lightened her up to show off all its beautiful grain. Normally looks black from a distance. Thought I'd share a few pics.

Love it. The 2015 lineup was the best in years IMO.

    Very walnutty I'd say.

You should always photograph a guitar in natural light, with the sun shining if possible. We have the proof here.

I love mine, very good SG and nice finish [IMG] [IMG] Neck profile is awesome imho.

But... the GForce tuners are really too heavy.

that color is so lovely... I don't get why so many red SGs get sold.
all the other colors look better to me. Especially this ebony finish.

Many players will replace the robot tuners with a traditional set.

i'm one of those whose mind is still open on the subject of the robot tuning innovation.
But if it makes the instrument head heavy, I would not keep it. A diving headstock
irritates me more than having to tune my own guitar, which I have always been
    happy to do.

Hipshot small sealed tuners with universal mount. No holes needed, light and great.

Grover Deluxe and Gibson Deluxe have a traditional look, I hesitate between one of these models and a set of KLUSON Revolution, 1:19 ratio, smooth use, same weight.

Get the revolution. The 14:1 ratio of the Gibson/Grover Deluxes is why everyone says Gibson's tuners suck. IDK why they don't at least upgrade to 15:1.

Beautiful wood!! Regarding tuners, the "Deluxe tuners on my 2002 are just crap. I have to re-tune it 5 times an hour. the 3rd string is ALWAYS going out of tune (and no, i don't buy the 'it's never the tuners' claim that our friend made here last year.) The Grovers on my G310 stay in tune!

It's always the tuners when this happens...
