    Hi guys,

I've just acquired my first P90 equipped guitar (1963 LP SG Junior) and I was wondering how most of you have adjusted your "dog ear" 90 pole pieces?

What would a good starting point be? Ie, should the high and low E be level with the plastic cover and then the rest of the screws raised in a radius to match the fingerboard - or what? Thanks.

On my old ES225TD the B was raised a bit more than the others iirc.

Mine are set to around 1.5mm from the bottom of the string to the top of the pole piece niece the action is set.

It is subjective to your ear, if you want to be "by the book" about it I believe Gibson has something in the user manual for setting the pickup poles etc.
