Wanted: Gibson "The Original" HB-L pickup (~9kohm)

    Hi there...

    I am looking for this bridge pickup: Gibson- The Original HB-L. Its production was discontinued. Specs: ~9kohm
    Back plate looks like this:

    I'm having a look on ebay but if anybody comes across one of those, PLEASE let me know.

    thanks, but the pickup was the hotter version of 14kohm and it's sold...

    I have that PU in my SG. It is an awsome PU.
    It was made for Gibson by Bill Lawrence. I've heard that he has a newer version of it but I don't know for sure. You can visit his webite. He lists his phone# so you can actually call & talk to him. (I've heard that him or his wife answer the phone)r

    I'll check the Bill Lawrence website. Should you know of somebody that want to sell one HB-L please let me know.

    I also discovered that these pickups used in the late '80s by Gibson and referred as the "Original Humbucker" - were in two versions. There was a "traditional lead" version (the HB-L) and an "overdrive lead" version (HB-L8). These were both lead pickups, just the "8" version being SUPER hot - (old ads say "it isn't hot - it's on fire")....
