Looks like a G400 Deluxe in vintage sunburst. Specs aren't any different from other G400s other than the flame maple veneer. Nice looking guitar!

Hmmm ... is it really a veneer ? A veneer can't be made to curve down in the bevel. Can't be a whole maple cap either, not on a G400.

I don't like mahogany veneer on G400 but IMO maple veneer suits well and looks superior. If this is just a veneer, I don't have any objection. But this one seems like have a maple cap. A limited-edition?

Any idea as to the year of production, Doctor Epiphone SG, Ph.D.? I've never seen this model before, at least not that I recall. The knobs and input jack indicate it definitely isn't modern, and unfortunately the serial isn't in any screenshot. Could be a great guitar for someone.
Part of me *really* wants to just buy it, but then my intellect keeps stopping that part saying "No, PC parts, you have plenty guitars, knock it off, id."
EDIT: Clearly there is a pic of the serial. wtf, Beery? Just double check!

That is truly beautiful and it does not look like a veneer to me.

2002 made at the Saein factory (Korea).
    Wiki say:
    • Mahogany body
    • Flame maple veneer

I've seen a few of these on eBay from time to time. Always assumed they were Korea and veneer.

Every time I see this thread I made, I go pick up my SG so I forget about this one, just to remind myself that I'm fine, this guitar is great, and I don't need another right now.
