What have you done in terms of projects, and/or what are you getting into?

For me, I have gutted my Tele, added a Bigsby, put porters in it and swapped the PG.

What I am currently working on doing is gutting my Strat, and putting porters in it while simultaneously building a Fender Marauder Type II Prototype Replica.

The Tele I will have to get some pictures, but the Marauder all I have is the template. I am currently in the process of ordering a blank. My Strat will look exactly the same once I get to gutting it.

The only major guitar project I ever undertook was to paint a Squier Stratocaster to look like George Harriosn's 'Rocky' Strat:

    Yeh cool thread,

Im a bit of a hobbyist and have built a couple, and modified loaads of guitars.

In terms of builds that are completed,

This was my first, basically my take on a charvel, really basic, has a bk blackdog in he bridge and a custom wound single coil in the neck. Has the most epic birdseye neck

    IMG-20120713-00213.jpg CMCustom2.jpg

Next up i tried a star out of a single slab of ash, came outpretty cool.

    20130928_130408.jpg

I then got a thing for a tele, so built this tele out of ash with a maple top

    20160312_121732_zpszoshrxlr.jpg

THis one has the most epic flame maple neck, could almost eat the blimmin thing

    20150307_123810_zps0obmuh6v.jpg

I picked up this neck through kramer on the cheap with plans of overhauling the ol bird, she had a rubbish blue finish. I attempted to refin her in a rising sun graphic, which i properly screwed up. So too, her to mate of mine, Wayne, who did it right
    Before and after

The last pics of the kramer are from Wayne himself.

And currently on my workbench is lespaul i am trying to build,, but im struggling. And she ha been sitting there for a year.. yes, procrastination much?

Apologies for thelong post. I love these threads. Looking forward to everyones projects

I've got two guitars and a bass that I never seem to get any free time to move along.

    Non-reverse T-Bird.

Along with the T-Bird, a '58 style Explorer and another '58 style Flying V. This one may end up like a "Lonnie Mack" style Flying V.

It's going to eventually end up in this chassis. The KH engine is just for mock-up. One of the many projects that are awaiting more free time and money.

Probably the most ambitious project I have taken on is a Fender USA Strat that the truss rod had pulled out of the anchor. I routed out the skunk stripe, brazed the rod and anchor back together, added a couple of carbon fiber beams to either side of the rod and assembled the whole thing.

I unfortunately did not get a photo after refinishing, sorry about that.

I'm getting ready to start on a Jimicaster. A 2000 left handed cream colored Squier that will be played right handed. I'm waiting on the parts...
