    Pulled out of a 1989 Epiphone LP built in Samick Korea...

    Its kind of maroon flaky dry crap that isnt doing anything as the pickup is very microphonic and squealy. Obviously it has expired...

    It should be paraffin/bees wax. I have no idea what it is.

    The wax got a little hot. Maybe after the pickup was installed.

    Taste it and let us know. Could be microphonic candy as Koreans were big on that in the 80-90's.
