The SG Classic Worn Collection honors the original 1960s SG (Solid Guitar) with two "worn" finishes for a beautiful vintage look plus powerful P-90 PRO TM single coil pickups.

    A "Vintage" SG
The SG Classic Worn has a solid Mahogany body along with a SG-style "bat wing" pickguard. The SG Classic Worn has the same historic profile of the vintage SG that briefly replaced the Les Paul as the ultimate solid body guitar. The set mahogany neck has an easy-to-play 60s era SlimTaper profile (BOOOO) with a worn open grain finish that combined with the worn color finishes gives the SG Classic Worn an elegant look. The neck has a 24.75" scale length, 22 medium jumbo frets, an Indian laurel fingerboard with dot inlays, and a 12" fingerboard radius. The fingerboard has white binding and the ABS nut is 1.68". Epiphone's famous small sloped dove wing headstock has a "bell" shaped truss rod cover and along with an Epiphone 60s-era slanted logo in mother of pearl. The SG Classic Worn is available in Worn Cherry and Worn Inverness.

Soapbar P-90 PRO Single Coil Pickups
The Epiphone SG Classic Worn Collection features two black P-90 PRO single coil pickups. The P-90 PRO single coil pickup follows in the footsteps of Epiphone's critically acclaimed ProBucker humbuckers and feature 8% nickel silver covers designed and tooled from the ground up with bobbins manufactured to historic dimensions, Elektrisola magnet wire, sand cast Alnico V magnets, and pole shoes manufactured using correct alloys and to Gibson's original dimensions. Each pickup has a Volume and Tone control with vintage-style black top hat knobs with inserts plus Epiphone's all-metal 3-way pickup selector switch with a white cap and SG style Rhythm and Treble etching in silver.

LockTone ABR Bridge and Stopbar Tailpiece
The SG Classic Worn comes with Epiphone's rock solid nickel hardware including a LockTone ABR bridge and Stopbar tailpiece combo that auto-locks the bridge and tailpiece in place with no tools needed. Tuning is fast and accurate with Epiphone Deluxe tuners with white plastic buttons.

    Lifetime Guarantee
All Epiphone instruments come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty and Gibson Brands' 365/24/7 Customer Service.

    Features:

    • SG Mahogany Body
    • 24.75" Scale 60s SlimTaper Mahogany Neck w/ Indian Laurel Fingerboard
    • P-90 PRO Soapbar Bridge & Neck Pickups
    • 3-way Toggle w/ Neck Volume, Bridge Volume, Neck Tone, & Bridge Tone Controls
    • LockTone ABR Bridge w/ Stopbar Tailpiece
    • Case Not Included

I must be dreaming. After never getting my hands on a 50th Anniversary P90 SG, I thought I'd lose my chance forever. Now these come along, with batwing guard, binding AND a proper bridge and stop piece. My GAS just got out of control again. Why did I have to look??

    edit
it also seems to come in Worn Inverness Green... different but interesting!

This looks pretty awesome. Is it just me or do the P90s look more squared off on the corners?

Wow, I definitely need that green one! Hopefully they sell them down here for a reasonable price. Otherwise, I'll be in the US at the end of the year, maybe one will have to come back on the plane with me.

Edit: No mention of these on Epiphone's site, and I couldn't find them at Sweetwater either.

Saw that too. They say: ... feature 8% nickel silver covers designed and tooled from the ground up ... Maybe the squared off cover is part of that.

Ah that makes sense. Looking at it again they're definitely not the usual black plastic covers. I want to check this out in store. Any idea when they ship? I didn't see a date in their info.
