They are looking great! I should be in a "downsize mode", plus I have too many P90 guitars (five Gibsons), but I have to say that's very tempting. The "open book" headstock makes these quite attractive.

They don't seem to be selling it down my way yet, but that's not uncommon with epiphone stuff here, they take ages.

See how the bridge pickup is closer to the bridge than on the Epi? That's what makes me NOT want to get an Epi, the bridge pup wouldn't be sharp enough because of the placement. I'd rather get that one, Dillion I guess. I'll have to look them up.

I saw these listed at Thomann, says they ship in a few weeks. They had them at $555 AUD.

Yeah, if the RRP is solid, they're going to get massive sales down here. It's all a bit exciting!

The Epi pickup placement seems the same to me as the Gibson model. Also the Dillion neck pickup looks set too close to the neck.

I think the picture is wrong; Sweetwater and Thomann show the "classic" with white button tuners.

Under $400, they'll sell a lot of these guitars...

Except for color and bridge, that looks identical to my Gibson SG but for less than a third of the price... If I didn't already own one I'd be all over it.

From concept to actual market SG.

We were wondering about the P90's strange shape. Pickguard is different, tuners and headstock inlay too.

They look to be the same shape as the tuners on my 1993.

As much as I hate batwings, I love the green, as long as it has the new headstock, I’ll have it in my wishlist.

too bad I don’t need any more guitars.

I was liking the green, but I hate how stripy the veneer looks on some. I think the new Pelham Special might be the one instead.

That's the scoop. Those don't have veneer.

    Look at Piper68Special's red one.

Ooooo, that does look nice. I'll have to wait and see both in person (and play them of course) before I'll be able to decide.

It's really nice to have options for a change when shopping for an Epi SG with P90s though. :D
