White SG Club

    We have a Black SG Club, but I'm seeing more and more beautiful white SG's being posted on here.

    Oh yeah, I gotta get me a white Gibson SG. A standard will do nicely.

    Allright, Bea! I've got a P.T., and it's incredible. That bass is killer as well. I can see some of the mods on the bass, care to elaborate?

    The most important mods concern the PUs: the bridge PU is a custom design by Dead End Pickups which gives a more 7enderish sound, and it is in "Stingray position". The neck PU is modified by two additional Alnico magnets, a few additional steel blades of filling the space between the bobbins (this gives the PU more lows and more treble) and a decoupling resistor when the two PUs are parallel. The rest of the mods is mainly switchable RC-loads. On the long term it will also get a pre-amp.

    The mass of the head has been increased a bit in order to improve attack - the neck is slightly weaker than i like it.

    I applied all this (except the hipshot bridge) to a black Epi EB-0, and also this bass improved a lot.

    Part of the black club a few times over but I have a soft spot for a nice white a SG:thumb:

    that white standard with white guard makes such a difference..theyre nice to start with,but THATS beautiful

    Just sold my Custom today, I am no longer in the white SG club. But I am still in the brown SG club, as well as the white V club ;)

    Just bought a 2007 SG 3 pickup Special in Worn White...if that qualifies, I'll post pics when it gets here...and I can stop playing it long enough to take them.

    The 3 pickup SG arrived today, well ahead of schedule. I adjusted the truss rod and string height and set up the pups a little, intonated it, and wiped it down with cleaner/polish, took a fedw pics and then put it away till early August for my birthday surprise...

    Did get some pics, too...From the little I have played it, I think I'm in LUV...:dude:


    Did they only make these things for one year? SN indicates January 18, 2007, production #231...must have been a long day...
