I heard a blues guitarist playing a similar instrument back in the sixties and was impressed by the bite and resonant highs it had. Is that a Les Paul double cut? Just curious to know what the nut width is..

1-11/16 nut width by the looks of that photo.

    It's a LP Jr double-cut, yes.

Sam Ash seemed to have 100th anniversary Les Paul double cuts on sale for $595.00 a couple of years ago and I was eager to get one. But when I went to the store to play them, the necks were so wide I literally could not finger a chord. I have guitars with 1 11/16" nuts and I'm fine with that. But these were way out.
Has anyone else encountered these instruments?
