I haven't got any "live" pics with the SG, mainly 'cause I'm more of a strat guy, but this one is close enough. I had brought the blonde along to a rehearsal session at the studio with the band, and I took this one after the work, late at night, we all lookin' tired (and thirsty for a beer).
an old one from the 90 ties w/dreads
that gibby was somehow special...
bigsby, lipstick in the neck, di marzio in the bridge...
from the same night as my avatar... best photos I've ever seen of
me an davie onstage. this at The Ark in Arbor, four years or so ago.
most action shots end up looking like this one: (i like it...)
but here's one from a tent stage at the Heritage Festival in Dearborn... You can't tell
from this photo, but it was absolutely pouring outside. So a lot of people came into
the tent area and got a beer and listened to us.
Here's one at Thumbfest in Lexington:
and YES... I love looking at all of us putting the SG to work.
Great idea for a thread.
one from 1987. skinny lil runt in white jeans and T
The best "Pants" photo is the one that Javamagic posted long ago, when he was in front of his JTM45 stack back in the late 60's or early 70's. I wish that I had saved that photo when it was still easy to find.
Here is me and my Sg junior and 62 reissue!Live with my band moorder
Been a busy week but here is an "in action shot" from last weekend....... working out kinks in the double neck.
Concentrating on that difficult Am chord at a festival a few weeks back...
I think maybe you need to change your name to Eighteen String. How about it?
Awesome song! Love it! Reminds me a lot of Rancid
A few months ago...Classic SG..P90's!
Not the best photo quality, but still! I actually played my first gig in years this Friday. We hosted an open night at the brewery (like we do every last Friday of the month), and our house blues band debuted in front of about 400 happy beer drinkers. It was a real blast finally getting back to playing for people! The stage was a couple of pallets laid out between the fermentation tanks. The pedalboard was downsized to a minimum; An AnalogMan Beano Boost and a Way Huge AquaPuss, but the Derek Trucks sounded awesome through the AC30. We hardly look like rock stars, but honestly, I think we played rather well.
an updated shot of my SG in action. Taken Saturday 29 August 2015.
I look surprised at how good it plays
