Well yes... I have a import Epi Casino (lefty). I noticed right away that I could not intonate it. So Epiphone "repaired" it until they could send me a new one. Looks like they redrilled the posts barely enough.. but still some saddles are all the way back (even with the saddles flipped as...
I have a guitar where the saddles can't get quite far back enough for perfect intonation. Does any company make bridges specifically for this issue that give extra travel that would allow for the saddles to be adjusted forward/backwards a bit more than the stock versions? I just a saw a picture...
Hi,
Is there any ruff estimate/knowledge of how much relief strings add to a neck? Compared to a neck with no strings on it yet? Gauge 9's or 10's range? I have a neck that I can't string up yet and it looks to be a relief of about 3 (using a feeler) ....and the truss seems to be all the way to...
I suppose I could ask people on this forum to measure theirs? I was just about to order a custom NR Firebird w/ a Maestro. Now I know what to watch out for... and to make sure the builder knows how to deal with this issue B4 I pay. thanks!
Wow. What a nightmare. Their website is a disaster too! I can't even find any un-aged long tails there currently to put in a cart. Aged are like $375. And no left handed of course. I do have 2 cheapo lefty arms though.. and I believe the baseplates are universal.
I bought 2 of these Lefty SG 60's tributes last year... because the first was so amazing. NOS. I then put that Les Trem on the new one.... and it sucked to me. No more snappy twang.. It was all spongy tone. Esp since I could pick up the first one and compare. I hated it.
When I first got...
I bought a 2011 60's Tribute (Lefty) with the intention of adding a long Maestro.. since it's so hard to find an affordable lefty with one installed. Took it to the shop here in Nashville and they told me the neck is not set at an angle to be a good candidate. I guess the neck needs to be at a...

Hey all,
I bought a NOS 2011 SG 61 Special Tribute (Lefty) and this thing is the most amazing playing guitar. AND this worn ebony finsih ...on the neck is the best I've ever felt. I hate the sticky gloss neck.. and like when I sometimes sand the neck almost to the wood (cheaper guitars)... but...
Hey all,
I bought a new (NOS) 2011 SG 60's Special tribute (lefty). Worn Ebony and p90s. I love it! So light.. .a bit over 6 lbs... feels like a toy in my hands. I'm looking for any deeper info about a few details about this guitar if anyone can help.
1. I read that the nut is cut by the Plek...
Hey guys, Thanks for all your feedback! I'm gonna go for it! I should have said off the bat that I'm not concerned with the "cosmetic" parts or neck gloss as Col Mustard said... as I sand mine all down too except for a few.
BTW anyone ever get one of these "Digital String Height tool" from...
