    thanks for the info, looking into that now. the guitar has come that way, and from doing some looking around, it seems the reason for doing that is that it relieves tension on the strings since they come from a lesser angle. this apparently makes strings slinkier to play on. not sure how true...

    thanks for the warm welcome i got my parents-in-law to take some photos for me. looks brilliant for a 14 year old gigged-as-hell guitar. can anyone maybe recommend some polish and fretboard cleaner for it? i've heard lemon oil etc.. is not good for rosewood boards
