I want to like it, but the headstock is visually just too heavy.

I think one would get a great body balance off that headstock ! and it's "anything Vee " haha

The thing that made the Marauder the Marauder were the cool Bill Lawrence pickups, without those it's just the same as every other Les Paul...

It's weird and kitschy, I like that part, but I really wish it would've just been a "Marauder", bolt-on neck and all. And as already mentioned, the Bill Lawrence (or "BL-style") pickups were the best part of the originals (or most Gibsons of the period), so to not have them makes it just another "Les Paul ish" guitar that's not really bringing anything different or exciting to the table. Especially at the asking price.

Well…at least it’s not a bolt on neck.
I dunno', I played one of those original bolt-on neck ones at a guitar show once, and I think that aspect and the pickups kind of gave it more of its own personality. I almost traded my Grabber bass for it, but like most LP-shaped guitars, I didn't care for the lack of upper-fret access (I've been spoiled by SG's, Flying V's and even some Firebirds in that regard), so I passed. I think this iteration could've used something unique to make it not just a slab-body LP Special with a Flying V style headstock.
