    NPD: Fortin Grind

Got the Fortin Grind last night... played with it a bit. At first I was somewhat disappointed, not really liking. Seemed a bit sterile. Comparing with TS9 into a RAT (both set low on the drive knobs) which is hard to beat as those two together just sounds great IMO (especially for that old...

NAD/NCD: Mesa Boogie Mark V:25 and Mini Recto 1x12 Slant cab

Thanks man!... it's been a bit of a journey but I landed on something I really like. Took near a year with a Marshall DSL40CR and a bunch of pedals and while it sounded good, still wasn't quite there. Lacked clarity. Very noisy between notes - like bleed-through is best I can describe. Over...

NAD/NCD: Mesa Boogie Mark V:25 and Mini Recto 1x12 Slant cab

Quick and dirty phone vid... the poor mic audio of the smart phone doesn't do it justice... take it for what it's worth...

NAD/NCD: Mesa Boogie Mark V:25 and Mini Recto 1x12 Slant cab

This thing is TINY but man does it rip! It's hard to describe the boogie thing in words. So tight right out of the box! Got the mini slant cab also. Had I more funds I'd have also gotten the mini straight cab for a mini 2x12 full stack but that will have to wait. Now to break in this one ;)

Nice cover man! I love Wasting Away. The whole album is pretty killer actually. If you haven't already, check out Fudge Tunnel.

    Gibson USA SG 2019 Models?

I’m liking this ‘19 SG lineup... hopefully this is a sign that Gibson is trying to go back to a simple lineup. Too many Les Paul models though. For the SGs, I’m liking: - batwing on the Standard - blue on the HP - 61R/61T in the ‘61 Reissue (I’ve always hated ‘57s) - Klusons on the Tribute I...

    NPD: Fortin ZUUL

Running the ZUUL in the fx loop. Splitter (Radial Twin City ABY) to send signal to key input on ZUUL and then the other output to my signal chain: SG>Korg Pitchblack Custom>Maxon OD-9>RAT2>DSL40CR on OD2, gain at 3 o'clock.

    SG myth's (or truths)

Myth: Neck dive. Truth: My 2011 Standard doesn’t neck dive.

N(incoming)AD! Didn't see this one coming.

You should really check plate voltage before setting on a particular number. Apparently some are up to like 480-490V plate voltage and other much lower. My 40CR (not quite same as your 40C) measured 426V when I checked. Has an effect on where you set bias at least initially if you are going by...

    NPD: Radial Twin-City ABY switcher

Anyone looking for a switcher/splitter that helps maintain tone, this is one solution... It is buffered, and also has some extra features like a polarity switch and a ground lift. There's a pot on the back called "drag" that adjusts impedance to dial in tone.

NGD 2018 SG Jr! With some questions...

Any issue with getting them intonated with the wraparound tailpiece and lack of tune-o-matic bridge?

Definitely not. Although this one is NOT cheap. Cringe worthy but worth it for me.

Did you try other delays before the CC?

    NPD: Carbon Copy

Wasn’t intending to get one at least not yet but stumbled upon this one in the used section at my local GC at a price too good to pass up especially for the condition.
