I sometimes see people, online, saying sg's have a bendy neck (from at the heel) - would you say this is the case with a junior? Having more wood where the neck route would've been.
Yes, I have for the first time used the amp with headphones just now. The sound quality ain"t as good as through the cabinet but for late night noodling in silence its great.
Thanks again!
Thank you for the reply.
Regarding question 2 - not the speaker jack, but the amp has a phone/line out output with a headset symbol above it (as seen here. Can I plug regular earbuds with an adapter in that socket?
4. EytschPi complained about this amp not having an effect loop, its really a...
And I will piggyback on my own post to add a fourth question:
4. In the future I will want to get a reverb pedal and a basic looper. Where in the signal chain do I have to put them? Before the amp or in between the amp and the cabinet? Or are there any no-no's I should know about, before...
Hi!
Sorry If my question is out of place but I've had the Vox mv50 AC for almost a year now - with the matching BC108 cab and I love its sound but I still have some usage question I can't find any answers online or in its manual:
1. I keep my impendance switch on 8 ohms - as recommended for...
Nice idea but in order to do a rigorous job, it will take a lot of time and thorough research.
I would take a look at this first , and obviously for missing years you can search for guitars made in that year (on ebay, reverb and the likes) - and try to see what info is out there and compile them...
Some freehand sketches, which I took pictures of, and some digital processing to collage and colour these "posters?" I made alot of guitar models but naturally, the SGs are my favorite ones.
I may win an award for unearthing a ten year old post by writing this BUT: I was skimming through the book 101 Guitars that Rocked the World (Dave Hunter). After going through it I was looking for other books that may approach the SG and found this topic and ... yes.
Regarding Dave Hunters...
Thats unfortunate. But yes the ideea of volutes didn't really catch on because of what you mentioned about the design.
Theres this swiss company (Relish) doing angled headstocks but from bent wood, supposedly it helps with neckbreaks, instead of having a joint there. Now they have to see how...
Yes it makes perfect sense. I remember Gibson introduced the volutes at one point to reinforce that sensitive headstock joint but the backlash was huge. I watched a few videos on youtube with luthiers putting broken headstocks together. some really made an art out of it, theywere drilling two...
Yeah thats definately an option to keep in mind. Ill first have to aquire a trained eye first to know what to look for in an SG (besides the subjective stuff) but yes you gave me quite a nice idea :D
This is my second post here(it should’ve been but I got the error for spamming) so I used the opportunity to tell a story which, for now, has a very anticlimatic ending but I think is a good example of what amount of havoc a guitar shape can wreck into a young man's mind. Just for context, I am...
After I wrote quite a substantial story I got an error message - that I can't post it for it being too spammy (which is understandable since it would've been my second ever post here). Can someone help me with a workaround? I copied the text in another file.
Ill hop onto your post because It gave me the courage to finally do the same. You literally made me finally decide its time to set up my account here. As a long time lurker of the forum, also not an owner yet but I do deeply desire an SG. My passion and desire for an SG is a story for another...
