ya this is cool... but its like the only SG in existence from factory like this... also msrp in 2014 was $1.1k? tho i cant remember what i was doing in 2014...i do know i wouldn't have spent so much... instead getting a SGJ the yr before for only around $575 new.

i have a SG with EMG 85 bridge / SLV neck... basically a Steve Lukather combo without the middle pickup...

the SG-X with the bright colors were the sought after (after being discontinued as usual) Caribbean series. i do remember back then the SG-X being offered in pretty muted colors... like dark brown...some olive like green...and of cos black.

my SGs all have the original pickups that came with them... tarbacks and '57 classics... another has EMGs in them cos it didn't come fully original and had some dimarzio in them.

the Korean G-400 with somewhat open book and dot inlays started in 1989... around that time... the MIJ Orville by Gibson also started up... so maybe the koreans decided to upgrade the G-400 to offer some competition... I'm not sure why the G400r is even considered limited edition... limited...

ya $150 is abit low... considering that even mid-90s G400 can fetch $250... so this would definitely be priced somewhere between that and however much a MIJ epi SG goes for nowadays... probably still around $700-800. so splitting the diff, i still say $500 is a fair price.
