I like Teles. The SG is Gibson's Tele. My Special is a twang monster. My Les Paul? Not so much.
It's my understanding that the recent Standards with the full batwing guard have the chunkier necks. The small guard generally has thinner necks.
Every time this appears I stop in my tracks. That's the best - mods and all.
I had a LP TV Special that was actually called a Junior Special. Ugh.
Like with all guitars, it's hit and miss. I bought a new Jr and hated it - mostly because the nut was cut so poorly. The high E would slip off the...
Yeah, I still don't think humbuckered LPs or SGs should be called Specials.
Picked up this 2019 Jr a couple of weeks ago. It may be my best guitar and it definitely has some competition.[ATTACH]
I had the same 2011 Pelham Blue Jr. Nice light guitar but I sold it awhile back.
Nice. Congrats on the new Jr!
Well, actually last week. I was missing having a Jr. so this is joining my Special and Standard in an unholy triumvirate. It may be the best of...
I have the 2018 Standard in black too. Great guitar! I put reflector knobs on mine. LOVE the '61 pickups.
Looks great. Some Gorgomyte would darken that a bit but I like it as is. I like seeing lighter shades, gradations on my boards.[ATTACH]
I ordered a new SG Jr last week and it arrived on Saturday. Absolutely gorgeous guitar - but within 1/2 an hour I had it packed up and ready to...
Seems like Vibramate should offer a version that works on the wraptail studs. It could work.
That's a bummer but you're right in thinking that a Vibramate won't work. Works with tailpiece and tunomatic set up only. Is that a vintage Jr? If...
Gibsons go back in the case. Fenders stay out on a stand.
That's a great looking guitar you have there! Maybe just grab one of the newer Gibson brown cases that come with the current guitars? I have two...
P90s and a Bigsby B3 for the win.
Most incredible SG I've seen in a long time. Wow!
