Goofy features aside, the 2015's build quality is outstanding.
"What gauge are you running?" I had problems with 10s and 11s, Raiyn. It's OK, I found that running the bridge PU a tad lower balances it nicely...
"Is the issue at the nut? does it need to be cut a hair lower?" No, you're good there because putting a capo on the first (EDIT: second fret,...
re: the slanted pickup. I really like it on mine. My only real gripe is that it can play hell with the Big E, making it impossible to tune. I had...
I have the 50s. Yes, the finish is thicker and glossier than most of the cheaper Gibsons. The wood isn't prepped as thoroughly, but it's nice wood...
Juniors are crazy valuable. I'm guessing maybe a lot of older guys are buying a guitar like they had as a kid? Melody Makers can still be had for...

"Unfortunately, I really did go in looking for a 2016 SG Standard with P90s. This has done nothing to quell that desire. I may be in some trouble...
My Peavey is a Forum, from the mid-90s. I imagine the older ones were even heavier. My Gibby EB13 is less than 8 pounds, and lining it up...
Wow, that's good to know. Heritage cherry is notorious for being hard to match. Stew Mac to the rescue.
