The ones they have are actually HP II, not the original HP. The former come with richlite fretboards.
It's not ebony, it's richlite. Also, his is HP-II model meaning it has locking tuners; the GForce was in the original HP of that year.

Yes, I love mine. The 2016 and 2017 aluminum cases have a wooden handle, while the 2018 has a very classy leather-like one.
The case is different too: yours (and mine :)) has an aluminum one, the HP II - at least the later one, has a plastic/fiberglass one.
