- Don't let go of the neck.
- Don't wear a slippery material top.
- Buy a '64 -'65 spec SG; Thicker neck from the 12th fret onwards, with the...
The '61 looks nicer, but I'd sell that one. I noticed you didn't mention how that one sounds, but you mentioned the tone of the '73 - therefore I...
Very nice. You nailed those pinch harmonics, and I liked your unison bends.
Congrats on the baby too.
I love the look of it. What fretboard is that? It looks a bit lighter than your average rosewood appearance.
That's a unique looking SG. I like it.
Just out of interest, do you have a pic of the neck showing the twist? I've seen an SG Special ('65) get successfully repaired here in New...
Where can I order a pink - stink one :h5:
Mmm me too. Beautiful in blue.
I like SG's in silver too, like the custom colour '64 Reissues.
Just wanted to say, I played my '64 RI for 1 1/2 hours at a 21st last night. Barely a fraction flat or sharp. Playing in standard also (that...
Cool and congratulations. I like the Epi headstock.
I had them in a '61 RI, and foolishly swapped them out for others that sounded harsh and too bright in comparison. I swapped them because I...
That's a sinister looking guitar. I like it
My '64 RI Standard was a bit temperamental when I first got it, but I'm glad I persevered with it. When I first start playing it, I might have to...
If you're that much of a schlemeil, I'd recommend something like a Telecaster instead.
I noticed it doesn't do it in lower tunings. Much more noticeable in standard tuning. I tune mine in Eb and C# and it's less dead on the 11th fret.
'64 Reissue Standard.
I'll just post the reverb link for pictures:...
What a cool looking guitar. That colour goes well with gold hardware.
Is the walrus tooth able to be replaced? Probably doesn't need it though aye.
It was actually on this forum: https://www.everythingsg.com/threads/lets-talk-about-the-dead-note-issue.23607/
But why does it happen to be on that same fret? Aren't all Custom Shop guitars plek'd now? As I say, all 6 SG guitars owned have the same problem,...
I disagree. Why would you need to do that on a brand new guitar? My '64 RI is brand new, my SG Special is nearly brand new with 0 fret wear.
