I am recarving the bevels, indeed. Not sure if I'll go as extreme as the above picture though :-)
Just got back from holiday with renewed energy...
Nice! Pretty bevels too.
O man.... I wish a day had 48 hours instead of 24 so I could work on my project G400 :-(
Isn't this just the difference between a '61 and a later Standard?
That gold one is still my goal, although I won't age it.
Time is flying by, folks and, unfortunately, I haven't been able to work on the guitar since I got the Vibrola.
I know a lot of people around...
In spite of approaching snow storms, I went and picked it up today...

Allright, I took a completely different route and put the lyre vibrola on my 3-pickup custom and...
Scored a sideways vibrola from a guy that...
True, let’s call it a Faded with extras then
Exactly, for that price, I can even live with the veneer (it indeed has one, I can tell from the edges of the bevels)
It looks way better in...
I have picked it up, because I couldn't let it slip for 160 euros and it is a beautiful guitar!
And the fact that there are so many contradicting...
The inlays are kind of yellowish.
The neck has a scarf joint but other then that, it looks more like a chinese vintage, not a faded....
The serial number puts it at 2007, made in Unsung China? So what exactly does that mean for this guitar?
I have the 2011 50th Anniversary edition of basically the same guitar, with the lightning bolt wraparound and I love it. No issues whatsoever.
Yes, but I don't know it yet.
I can pick this one up today....does this look like an '04 Vintage to you?
So a 2019 with binding could be legit?
I didn't even realise they made them at the Samick plant in 2019, but with binding?
Is this common? Found a local ad for one today....
Can you show the trussrodcover-area? It doesn't look 'Korean' to me :hmm:
So can they be bought somewhere? Do they have a name or was this probably just a self/custom made piece?
Separate names with a comma.
