Depends on what year your SG is made/shipped…they switched in the last few years from the made in canada cases to some other manufacturer…had both and think the newer ones are better…at least the latches…there’s somewhere on YouTube a comparison video… But anyhow, it will be a brown Gibson case...

I thought it could be that the cavity routing is to small for the pickup?

I guess the humbucking pickup was designed to be parallel to the strings…some pickups need it more than others.. But the main thing is to get the tone your after. No matter how your pickups or guitar is set up…
