Bedroom Amps for low vol play

I'm still quite happy with my THR 10, had it about 3 yrs now, tons of tones, in a small platform. Though not the cheapest option, well worth it IMO.

    Should I do this trade?

Damn, that's a sweet lookin tele. If only that hadn't shot it full of holes, to hold on that UGLY pick guard. Nah, get the SG, it's pretty much a no brainer.

Sorry, can't help on your side of the pond. Any woodworking skills/tools? There's a guy local here that sells these on c'list. Thought of 'borrowing' his design https://cincinnati.craigslist.org/msg/5936201700.html

SG Special -> single coily sound

Well, I could've recommended using the vol, & tone knobs, but where's the fun in that.

SG Special -> single coily sound

Welcome to the fun zone! The easiest thing to do would be replacing the pickups. Then the problem of 'I miss my old sound' will arise. You can never have too many guitars, so my recommendation would be, go to all your local music stores, & try out a bunch of different guitars, till you find...

    '89 SG G-310 upgrades

Ebay is gonna be your friend, if you're wanting to build it yourself. Bourns, or CTS pots, some people have a preference. Bourns are gonna be less expensive, with no discernible difference in quality. Here's a decent place to start, they have everything you'll need, & a fair price...

    Epiphone Les Paul Special I

I picked up a red one at the local pawn shop a few weeks ago. The nut needed some adjustment ( had to be shimmed up 2 pieces of paper, fretted at the 3rd, strings were touching the 1st), & the bridge lowered a bit. Best $60 I've spent GAS wise.

Looks good, too bad you don't have an old pedal or something lying around to rob a jack from.

NGD! SG G400 GASsing gets the better of me...

Here are a bunch of diagrams for the circuit, but remember, this can be a bit tricky in a small cavity. https://www.google.com/search?q=varitone+wiring+diagram&rlz=1C1LDJZ_enUS609US609&biw=1280&bih=590&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwigqMiIke3RAhXk0FQKHbzfCtAQsAQIGQ Here's a bit of...

NGD! SG G400 GASsing gets the better of me...

Yes, the BB Lucille. Gibson, & Epi make a version. I believe Epi has a couple of other models with the varitone type pot, but don't quote me on that.
