It slips off the fretboard. It's a 2008 SG Classic, don't know if it was Plekd. Bought it used. I'm using the standard Gibson gauge.

The high e string on my SG Classic slips off easily. It is very difficult to do pull offs because of this. Should I buy a new blank nut and take it to a luthier, or is it ok if I get a pre-shaped one?

Will 4 of the 0016's caps from StewMac work as a replacement?

I've recently ordered a Gibson SG Classic. I'm wondering if the neck profile is too thick or large. I've read that the Classic is known for it's big and fat neck.

What are the differences between the Gibson SG Classic and the SG Special VOS with P-90's? They seem to be very similar apart from the obvious pickguard and neck differences, but they VOS costs much more ($999 vs $2999, IIRC).
Is it worth getting the VOS Reissue vs the Classic?
I've ordered a SG Classic that should arrive next week. I've read that it's a good idea to change the stock 300k pots to 500k.
However, there are quite a few choices, and I'm having trouble choosing the right pots.
