One of these things is not like the others...

Now that I look at it even closer, that tuner knob is just slightly darker and more translucent than the others. What the hell! I think I need to lay off the psychedelics for a while. Everything that's the same looks different and everything that's different ....... is ........ yeah man ....

One of these things is not like the others...

Yeah, forgive the lighting, I tend to take very sh!tty pictures. Just thought it was a bit odd to find one tuner different. The finish on the Gibson tuner is more..... sharp? Looks nicer than the Klusons. This did just raise the value of the guitar $7.48 by my calculations. :)

I can't believe I've had this gutar for well over a year and never noticed this. Anybody ever had this happen? It's just your run of the mill 2014 SGJ.

    My meager collection

On the left, we all know what that is. On the right, a 1971 Framus Texan 5/196. That's the first guitar I ever played, what I started learning with about 22-23 years ago. It's all mine now, originally was my mother's. She gave it to me for Christmas around 2000. Arch back body. completely...

"Ummmm......I tried fixing the new copier and......April fools"

It's a bit late I realize, but still worth sharing. When someone leaves a bottle of red refill ink lying around on April 1st, they are begging, PLEADING with someone to do something like this. Thankfully, I was there to fill this role. Also, I am the health and safety rep for my office. And a...

    You're welcome Canada

It was a bit of a bizarre winter in the Toronto area this year. Didn't get much snow until much later than usual, then it would warm up to the spring-like temp, drop to normal, go way under normal and snow, warm up, go way under normal, warm up, cool off, snow, warm up, etc.... Not a flake of...

Gibson SGJ finish tan lines. Fixable?

That looks very interesting too. and thanks to all for the welcome. I definitely agree, the pickguardian part is for sure good quality. And, it covers the holes I put in for the other guard.

Gibson SGJ finish tan lines. Fixable?

Yeah, I'll get used to it I'm sure.....just wish I had never put that damn crappy guard on. I've got it in front of a worklight right now with no guard. I'll see what happens.

Gibson SGJ finish tan lines. Fixable?

I was thinking about just putting a somewhat high powered work light a few feet in front of it for a while, making a "tent" with BBQ aluminum foil to focus the light on that lighter area as much as possible to darken it slightly. I didn't think this would ever happen, the room it's kept in gets...

Gibson SGJ finish tan lines. Fixable?

Hi everyone, I got myself a Cherry 2014 SGJ at Christmas 2014. Short time after that I put on a generic BWB pickguard. I never really liked the look after installing and decided to get a custom black matte guard from pickguardian instead, which looks awesome. The only issue is, the guitar has...
