    78 Custom has how many frets + ebony ....Perhaps they moved pickups away from the neck to prevent breakage ? I have read that before!

    My 78 Gibson Standard came w a Bixsby . But my Epiphone Custom Shop 2010 has a wrap around ( like the PT ) bridge . Try it - you will LIKE IT ! It rings beautifully , like my Yamaha AES 520 baritone w strings thru the body !

    Sperzels mount thru the center hole and a small pin . Out of Cleveland. My Chinese SG Special had screws pisitioned on diagonal corners !
