There's a reason these were being swapped. Part of it could be addressed via an EQ pedal. But to my ears and many people's this speaker has some shortcomings.

They are not all staying out like that. I jam in two different practice spaces and leave one guitar at each in a case, some of the others are in cases. Seems fine.
Some of the tonal difference will be caused by the limitations of having 8 ohms vs 16 ohms wiring setup in the 2x12 vs 4x12 config of the cabinets.
You have the option of going with a 16 ohm 1x12 combo also which would be really portable for practice, and on the occasions when you need more...
They are a very nice SG. I love the finish and the pickups on these, just wish they didn't have that banner on the 12th fret. It ruins it for me.
Do you never need a boost for that marshall?
Interesting choice. Like mentioned by others I would of done the opposite and put a hot P90 in the bridge position. I may get a Lollar to put in my LP JR down the road for some variety.
