The 035 rings are what is known as "historic" wich means they are taller that the 015 and 025 so you don't see the side of the pickup and as you may already know they are also more expensive.

Most Les Paul parts you could ever need at a decent price
When I bought my first ever Les Paul in 05 I sat down with a LP Standard, LP Classic, and PRS Custom 22. Played the PRS first 'cause I'd never really given them an honest chance. Played for maybe 30 min. Verry nice guitar. Not too heavy, sound was more than I had expected. I thought cool. Sat it...
I have to agree with Neo on both counts. Burstbucker pros, And FIXIT
Had an old G&L that did that after about 10 years of Smoke sweat and beer.
Finally sold it and bought another, same model, F-100 a few years later it did the same thing. So I just got away from that pickup. now I can hear...
A 57 for up close is fine but if you really want to make it thick take a good condenser and hoist it up to the far corner of the room, about a foot from the celing. The two of them together will give you almost a stadium sound.
Just picked up Alesis hd24

Repair shop used Christmas and Thanksgiving as reasons not to get my amp back to me.
Ok Major legal holiday I can understand but, Martin Luther Kind day? Who do they think they are, The US Post Office?.... I had to work. As did everyone else I know. I think I need a new job.
I'd have to say my '60s neck LesPaul no1
Sounds so sweet and plays like a dream.
Makes you not want to put it down, even though it's heavy.
The tone grabs you and it feels like home.
My Harum

I don't have a clue what he did to the pickups. I have had the pick guard off once, just to see inside. It's intresting in there, but I didn't really want to mess with a good thing. I haven't even had the neck off to check the dates, but I do know that Leo was signing the neck pokets back then...
Thanks :
I feel blessed to have this guitar
This is what Leo Fender called "The Real One"
Meaning if he still owned Fender Co. This is what a Strat would be today.
His philosiphy " If it's broke... fix it, If it's not... make it better
Due to the recent posts of peterbright's new Comanche, wich is georgous by the way. I have been prompted to open up my old no.1 A natural ash G&L S-500, after being put away for quite some time.
Let me start by saying I played G&L exclusively from 1981-2002
In the 80's & early 90's...
I agree with RY
untill I started playing bound necks I didn't know the difference, but now after getting to know a few and feelind the comfort of binding over the edge of the frets I want to change my whole arsinal.
Played the show last night with sound co. amp. A small Epi Ri or something
Kinda sucked, the time was tight for set up and sound check, But show went on.
Tomorrow they will have to get amp fixed, 'cause by the time the night was over,
who am I kidding. By the third song this thing sounded like...
