Caps in pairs, but only two alligator clips? You are going to need two more of those. Also, if I were you, I would get a few more caps with values below 0.01uF. That's where I find a sweet spot on my Tele.

What would I do with 600 caps ? Tile the floor of my shower with them ? Make necklaces ?

Either will do. But what you do get is a whole heap more values to allow you to home in on the sound you want. And instead of two of each you get thirty, so you can modify other guitars as well. But if you are happy to pay thirty six times over the odds for reduced capability, don't let me stop you.

If I were you I would cancel that other order.

It's not like the 36 times over came to $1000.00, it's $9.99 !

I have 4 guitars that "might" require a change in that area, but only one that I really want to find out about. After testing that one guitar with these few caps, if I find I need more variety, I'll look for them. If I ever get into modding everything I see that has caps, I'll then consider your 600 pieces box.

This is a problem with our consumerist culture these days. If something is a good deal, whatever you need it or not, you absolutely have to have it. Keep depleting the resource and fill the dumps.

It just irritates the crap out of me when someone takes advantage of a person who may not be a specialist in the field they are dipping into by charging ruinous prices for parts that are worth pennies at best. I think such people are to be resisted and exposed at every opportunity.

Not quite. That is actual fraud. This is just cynical opportunism.
Oh so the folks promoting PIO like it's something special! Gotcha! Magic Tone Bean Fraudsters!

I'll spend a couple bucks on a cap, as in <$3 I don't need quantity, just enough for the current project.

Yeah, it's not easy to buy caps in one-off quantity. My company buys a lot of caps (many millions per year), and the average price per cap is about 0.05 cents (less than one tenth of a cent). Most of the cost is in forms and admin. They effectively give away the caps, because they have no cash worth.

I'll be curious what you find out. Is this for one of the P90 guitars? I want to upgrade my P90 guitar's electronics and I really need to do some research here as I'm used to humbuckers.

Yep, it's for my PRS Soapbar SE. I want to try darkening the tone. Whatever P90 I put in there, they get real bright.

So, just out of curiosity ... could you have sent me the 18 caps for under $9.99, shipping included, from London to Québec ?

Nope, I'm not set up for it. But the caps I showed you would have come to me in London from China at that price. I'm betting the same or similar is available to you.

Could well be, but what can't you get in I DON'T NEED 660 caps. I might ending up using only one. The others will eventually find their way to some bin.

So in that perspective, one for $9.99 is still less than one for $13.31

OK, I get it now. I've just never before encountered someone who thinks the way you do.
