What where the factory-installed stock pickups for the 1979 Gibson SG Standard, please? Are they what are called " T-top Humbuckers" ?

    Thanks.

If they are like the pickups in my 78 standard, then they would be tarbacks. Tarbacks are epoxy encapsulated with a black resin and have metal covers on the front side.

In 79 they did try to innovate and had some pickups that had no covers and were called something like "Dirty Fingers".

I'm not sure what the years are that the T-tops were offered, but I think that for the most part, it wasn't the 70's.
