I might get a crazy deal on one. Anything to watch for ?
Carpel tunnel from playing it too much?
AAARGHHHHHH ! ! !
Seller phones me back saying another guy with same first name gave him a deposit.
Ah man, that’s a bummer. I have an old Peavey Delta Blues, and I just love it. I can really get that great BB King and John Lee Hooker sounds. But, being an Acdc nut I am so impressed with how close I can get to that ACDC tone with no pedals.
the peaveys are a great amp. My dad brought me one home over 20 years ago, and I always thought it would tide me over until I could afford a Marshall stack.
Well... 22 years later I still haven’t bought that stack. No Need! The peavey sounds great, and with 30 Amps it’s more than I need for a home musician.
for me it was one of those situations where I never realized how special it was until a whole bunch of time passed. I was just playing around with a nice vox set up at my local shop. Couldn’t get my sound for the life of me.
Totally agree with the above, Peaveys are some of the most flexible amps I have ever played. They may not nail all of the epic amp sounds perfectly, but they can get pretty darn close in many cases. I love my "specialist" amps for what they do well, but when I have a gig and need a swiss army knife of tones I usually grab a Peavey.
Sorry you missed out on this one, better luck next time!
I like the 90’s? Versions better.
It’s sour grapes I know...but it’s all I’ve got.
I am looking for a bluesy amp and ALMOST bought one of those Roland Blues Cube HOT - 30 watters with the attenuation.. frankly they beat the low end Fender amps hands down.. and it was like $ 280.. not bad.. they model them after 6v6 Fenders but also have a model after the EL84 types.. but I have heard a lot of Delta Blues LOVE out there.. mostly for the 1x15 and not the 2x10.. which did you have... I think both versions have character.. one more boomey and full perhaps and one a bit more punchy.. ??
Gone for good ... maybe next time I'm lucky.
I've had a Roland BC-60 Blues Cube 3X10" earlier this year. It was like new with store tags still on. It is the most sterile amp I've ever owned. Didn't stay long.
agree.. they don't make the BC60 anymore for good reason.. i believe this also did not have the attenuation control which they have now on the entire line.. I am thinking Peavey DB or classic 30 or 50.... I have heard the classic 20MH is awesome as well with modern features on back..
I have the single 15, which does seem to the preferred model. I have never played the 2x10 to compare though
